1st. time out with the 7d,and the last since the weather changed for the worst. All takin with 24-105...

Huh-never thought of my 24-105 as a birding lens but seems to work for you. Well done!

you must have been right on top of them with that lens.

Here is a suggestion if you would like one.
get down low. The low angle will make your shots even more interesting.
