What I have now, canon 17-55 f2.8, canon 100 f2.8LIS,canon 70-300 LIS, replace my sigma 400 HSM APO macro with canon 400 f5.6L and add the canon MP-E 65, that would cover everything I need / can handle

Latest setup for 1D Mark III 1.3x crop body:

24-70 f/2.8L = walk-around (have)
70-200 f/2.8L IS II = tele zoom (have the Mark I version)

35 f/1.4L = low-light prime (have the 35 f/2 cheapo version)
85 f/1.2L II = low-light + portrait (have the Mark I version)

12mm and 25mm Extension tubes = macro (have the Mark I versions)

24 f/3.5L = for fun and HD video on my T2i (have)

Pretty much everything with the 'L' in my sig, with the exception of the 17-55/2.8 which IMHO is superior to any 'L' zoom on a crop body with the same focal length coverage. Hoping to add 35L, 85L, and 135L soon.

Well I just moved to 1.3 crop (1D Mark II) so my list has changed a bit
