Big difference? 24-70 - is SP glass and has VC (tamrons IS) and USD (UltraSonicDrive). The f2.8 is GREAT, the lense is tack sharp and is in a completely different class than the 18-135 3.5-5.6 IS STM. 24-70 is worthy every penny of 1300 bucks. Def as good as the Canon L version for 1000 less.

Def as good as the Canon L version for 1000 less. 18-135 IS STM is a GREAT lense dont get me wrong, its the perfect accompaniment to the 70d's autofocus and Live View AF for video. the STM is SILENT even more so than my USM lens and the USD lens so any time I would shoot video it would be with the 18-135 STM. IQ wise id have to shoot the same picture with both (which now I am going to do tonight) just to see how they stack up. I havent compared them because they arent in the same league i guess. but I will just to see if I made a mistake spending all that money on the Tamron haha. Yes, please post comparison pictures Fujifilm X100V

I want to add the 70-200 2.8 II...used to own it a couple years ago, but sold it as the kids got older and the constant baseball, soccer, birthday parties slowed down. Still regret selling that lens and hope to add it back some day.

runninmann what the heck do I know? More info | Jul 31, 2014 15:14 | #2744 BLUEONION wrote in post #17062698 It's interesting to go back a few pages and read what users list for their "realistic" lenses and then looking at their signature below which shows what they have presently. A lot have changed up their lenses that they posted back then, while others do still use the same ones . It is interesting to look back, even at one's own list. Here's mine from almost eight years ago. runninmann wrote in post #2006919 Five lens collection: Have: Tokina 12-24, Tamron 28-75, Canon 50-f/1.4 and 70-300 IS Next Up: Sigma 150 macro Expanded Collection: Considering: Sigma 30 f/1.4, Canon 85 f/1.8, XXX-400 (If only I could bring myself to accept white lenses!)
