Sure they will cater to the casual film junky that wants to burn a roll once a year, but this won't make them a fortune 500 company. The spiral will be fast and costly. I don't envy those working for such an old school thinking mentality.

You take the X-ray, stick the plate into the machine, the machine reads it, then the plate is ready to be used again. Heck, even animal hospitals are using digital x-rays these days as are most dentists.

Also, most of the film being shot nowadays is medium/large format landscape photography, rather than 35mm format, fashion, sports or portraiture.
