Juvenile Bald Eagle fishing at Colvill park in Red Wing, MN.
Taken with the Canon 7D and 400mm f5.6. These are pretty heavy crops. I never seem to have enough reach. I`m thinking about investing in some longer glass.

They look really good but I can tell they are cropped pretty heavy since the water splash looks pixelated. I know what you mean about longer glass. I thought a 640mm reach would be enough but it just is not most of the time. You need double that almost to get close to these birds or the action. I think that Canon 1200mm is still for sale on Ebay for 81k, you wanna go halfsies?lol

You guys are killing me. I'm considering spending for the 400 f5.6 and you're bringing me down;) wonderful shots by the way

One day I was walking on the street and somebody handed me a camera. I looked at them and said, "This is not a Canon, what do I look like? A charity case?" So I took it, and THREW IT ON THE GROUND!
