Juvenile Bald Eagle fishing at Colvill park in Red Wing, MN.
Taken with the Canon 7D and 400mm f5.6. These are pretty heavy crops. I never seem to have enough reach. I`m thinking about investing in some longer glass.

I know what you mean about longer glass. I thought a 640mm reach would be enough but it just is not most of the time. You need double that almost to get close to these birds or the action. I think that Canon 1200mm is still for sale on Ebay for 81k, you wanna go halfsies?lol 7D / 70-200 F4L IS / 400 5.6L / 50mm 1.8 / 18-55 Kit / CS5 plus other software.

I'm considering spending for the 400 f5.6 and you're bringing me down One day I was walking on the street and somebody handed me a camera. I looked at them and said, "This is not a Canon, what do I look like? A charity case?" So I took it, and THREW IT ON THE GROUND!
