7d....which neck strap do you use??

I currently have a 7D and use the standard neck strap (the one that came with the camera). I find that strap quite unconfortable (especially when wearing a T-shirt). Any recommendations on a strap that will provide a little more comfort?

There are some very heavily padded neck straps on the market that are supposedly pretty comfortable, but I personally HATE straps. The only one I don't mind is the Black Rapid.

The equipment is too heavy to go around your neck. Throw it over your shoulder.

I use an OpTech strap from the link at the top of the page, it works well. Also used a pacsafe for a while and thinking about the new Luma cinch

Black Rapid Sport strap. I use a Grip as well so it balances the weight very well, particularly with larger lenses on. Highly recommend!

As a general matter, I prefer straps that are less bulky and less intrusive.

For a shoulder strap, I had a BlackRapid RS-7, but found it way too bulky for my taste. I switched to the original Luma Loop (no longer available, I'm afraid).

Black Rapid straps are excellent.

Black Rapid or no strap - I was using a nice SmugMug Pro strap for a while, but like most people have posted, carrying a gripped 7D with a lens just gets too bulky to hang off your neck

I wouldn't put anything around my neck for any length of time. I put the strap across my chest and the camera on my hip. I use a Citystrap which had two steel cables because of some of the places I travel to.

Also, the Upstrap is another excellent choice. They come in various lengths and have an excellent shoulder pad to distribute weight. Also several models with Kevlar in the strap weave.

I'm not a fan of the Black Rapid straps, I think the standard two lug straps which I described above do the same job with more stability, less bumping of the camera around your hip and butt, and the same camera-to-eye speed as the BR, not to mention that the tripod hole is still available.
