I'm getting back $1200 on my tax refund. I don't know if I should take the plunge and pick up a *used* 50L or grab a sigma 50mm 1.4, and 135mm. Such a tough decision, so I thought I use a "lifeline" and ask the audience.

The one downside of the Sigma 50 is it may be pretty far off in AF calibration. Mine's currently in transit to be calibrated with my body, but then again one of the bodies I shoot with doesn't have MA so it was quite critical. thestone11 wrote in post #13864202 50L! I have a 17-40 to shoot wide. Pretty rare that I do shoot wide. I believe every photographer should have a 50mm lens in their bag. I'm just trying to find which one is right for me.
