After doing some research and looking around a bit, I scored a Vivitar (Kiron) Series 1 70-150mm f/3.8 today for......$15. $24 with shipping. Looks barely used, and boxed for 15 years, at least. Minolta MD mount. Hope I got a good deal.

Came with a hoya filter that actually costed more than the lens itself Canon 550D | 18-55mm IS| "Nifty Fifty" | "Nifty 2 Fifty" | Nikon 75-150mm f/3.5 | SMC Tak 50mm f/1.4 | Rolleinar/Sekor (Modded) 135 f/2.8 | Helios 44-2 | Panasonic FZ50 |

Post pics of the conversion, I'm curious myself how involved it would be to disassemble the Vivitar zoom. Photography is not defined by what gear you own.

Probably bought it in the late 70's. I know it cost more than $15. Rick

Got caught up in the "Kino/Kiron lenses are hidden gems in the MF world" postings around town, and never thought to check to make sure the MD mount works on EOS cameras. Canon: 6D

On my DIY Directory are a lot of mount conversion instructions - but as far as I know not for this specific lens. There is a big difference between original lenses conversion and alternative lenses in way of conversion. DIY-Homepage
