Have you tried a different memory card? Might require sending it back.

It looks like one of the readout channel amplifiers is miscalibrated... although it only has 8 channels and it appears to be 1/16 of the frame so maybe that's wrong.

Several cameras and more glass than I will admit to.

Thanks all,its the same with CF and SD cards.
It only went in for a sensor clean and turned out it had a scratched filter which needed a sensor replacement.
Ill have to give them a bell on Monday, theyre going to be sick of hearing from me soon :-)

How does a scrached sensor end up being a perfectly vertical line?

It's something in the electronics, nothing you can do but send it in.

Not sure I know what I'm saying but could it be the Anti Aliasing filter misplaced? can it be misplaced/incorrectly fitted?, the edge of the frame looks slightly sharper and brighter on the clothes line IE not covered by the filter. ..

Disclaimer:100% guess..:D

This new problem didnt occur untill after the new sensor was fitted.

Im not sure how it happened, the camera went in for some cosmetic damage after I dropped it and a 24-70 .
On return I noticed there was a lot of dust still on the sensor so I sent it back as they were going to clean it, thats when on inspection they said I needed a new sensor (covered under their warranty).
When it came back one of the pins in the CF housing was bent (me or them theres no way of knowing), this was repaired by them free of charge.
Now with this problem I'm worried Im turning into the customer from hell, but I cant ignore it as its bugging me. It happens with all lenses, cards, landscape or portrait.

Out of interest did you wet clean the sensor yourself previously? At least its good of them either way ie. if they scratched it they took the responsibility versus if they found it and replace it under warranty.

Re. the strange band... yeah too much of a coincidence its only happening after the sensor replacement. Hope your luck changes.
