We're on our first retirement trip so here we are in Florida for a couple of months. Man there's a lot of birds here! Figure this is a good place to practice shooting bif. I think I picked easy ones. Hard to get a good BG but I'm happy with my first results I think the 7D helps also.

Oh, these are great, Claude! And you did very well with exposing the whites in the first two images. Love the sky in the first image. Good shooting all the way!

Those are a great start for sure. Post your camera settings to see if their are any that can be tweaked for best results with BIF. Not sure if you ahve played with the AI servo speed or other CFn functions for the Auto Focus system. The good thing is all these shots are in focus so your tracking is spot on.

Really nice shots. I don't think the quality was entirely due to the 7D.

Totally agree. Very well done. Not just the camera.

Thanks everyone for the very nice compliments.
To NO ANGLE my tracking speed was one notch towards slow.
C.FnIII-2 af priority/Tracking priority
-3 continuous af track priority
I also used single focus point with expansion. That seemed to really help out.

These are great Claude, my first BIF's either had wings or feet....never the entire bird.

Those look good. I would say try tracking speed all the way to slow. It has helped me a lot more. Stays in focus longer once it is grabbed the first time.
