Next week we have our Open Mono Print competition at the Camera Club. My daughter (TinyTogger - the 6 year old togger) will be entering again. I already showed her first image (the one with the Owl Toys and the Egg).

This is her second choice of image. She took the picture at our club portrait practical evening, and she processed it today using a mixture of Nik Silver Efex pro and some painting in of the blacks. All the photo taking and PP slider sliding done solely by TinyTogger (as per the rules of our club).

Your thoughts?

Who taught her about lighting ratios?
She seems to have that concept figured out.

Nice work!
thanks for sharing.

Ha, no she didn't set up the lights...we had lights set up at the club (3 lots, actually) and people used them to practice their technique. As it happens, I set up the lights where this one was taken. :)
But many people in the club will use images they took where they didn't set up the lights - it's all about learning how they look when they're set where they are. :)

But, she framed, and took the shot, and PP'd it in Silver Efex Pro and Photoshop. She painted in the black, and so on. It is unequivocally her photograph. :)

Thanks

By the time she is in the 3rd grade she will be making serious money taking shots of her little friends. You may be able to retire earlier than you had planned.

I was going to be buying a 7D this week, but after seeing this fantastic photo from a 6 year old, I might as well give up! Tell her great work and keep it up!
