Lee Foundation alternative?

Sorry if this is in the wrong area but I figured this section would have a lot of people who used them.

I'm trying to find a Lee Foundation kit but nobody seems to have them in stock and the few people I've found selling them are price gou... I mean... pricing theirs at a premium. Are there any holders from another manufacturer that will hold a Lee 4x4 and 4x6 resin filter properly without light leakage?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Unless you are sharing a photo, yes, this is the wrong section hence the name 'Photo Sharing' Section.

Yeah I saw the sub-forum after I posted it, not yet familiar with the layout here sorry! If a mod would move it that would be great.

If someone developed and produced a comparable filter holder to Lee's they would make some $$. It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult. The Lee always seems somewhat tough to find.

Would a Cokin Z-Pro Holder work with Lee 4x4's?

Try a google search for "century optics"...they also market Lee hardware (holders and adapter rings), and they're not a knockoff...they must have some type of marketing arrangement with Lee. Example...several weeks back I ordered a Century Optics 82mm WA ring from Adorama (Lee was out of stock)...the ring was delivered in a Lee box.

If you can't find one, put your name on the wait list for the Lee kit and use a Cokin Z-Pro in the mean time (however, the Cokin is much more prone to vignetting, so you may need to remove a filter slot or two). Once you get the Lee, sell the Cokin. And yes, any 4-inch wide filter will fit in the Z-Pro .

The Century optics holder w/77mm adapter ring is available from both adorama and b&h right now, no need to wait.

Out of stock just a few hours later. Lee kits go awfully quick!

If you're willing to order from the UK these guys have stock:

But if you're in the US, I'd just go for a Century Optics holder from b&h or adorama. Much easier that way.

Try also making direct contact with companies listing them as out of stock. They may actually have them. That is how I recently obtained a big stopper ;)

If you can't find the Lee one, Century Optics is usually in stock at Adorama and they are exactly the same thing. Lee branded box and everything.
