this is my first portrait of my girlfriend any C+C welcome I am not used to shooting people its pretty odd compared to macro

It is quite out of focus. Looks like focus might have been on her right shoulder.

And you're right....shooting portraits is very different than just about anything else. Especially close ups like this one. It can be a very intimate. I even have that feeling when I am doing the PP afterward.

I had watched a few videos on youtube for smoothing skin I think I may have overdone it or need a different technique here is the original file

I would agree. Blurring is not a great skin smoothing technique. Know too that in regard to skin smoothing less is more. It's really easy to go too far.
