I'd like to read your thoughts on this image - i'm getting out of my comfort zone. Thanks

I'm really liking this shot but why did you splash all that text across the middle. Please put it at the bottom and make it inconspicuous if you must have it. And the vignette does not add to it in my opinion.

Ahhhh I thought I was looking at some trees, islands and... a massive tsunami rolling in!

I agree - ditch the massive C info, and definitely drop the border. No marks there. Otherwise, nice trickimagery (even if that wasn't intended). It probably could have done with some better framing if you weren't trying to create an illusion... What exactly am I supposed to be looking at this image for (a good question to ask for every photo you take among others...).

cheers,

I like the concept, but without the bit of foamy water at the top of the frame. Without it would create more of an abstract feel. As it is, you have some nice lines in the sand moving from the lower right to upper left...the edge of the foamy water breaks those patterns up instead of letting them pull the viewer through and out of the frame. Also agree about the added vignette...I'd lose it.

Yes, I agree with argyle. I really like the color, the smooth movement of the water and the texture of the whatever-the green stuff is. Maybe try cropping out the upper area and get rid of the vignette. :)

I find it uncomfortable because of the scale...I don't have a frame of reference for the size. There's nothing for me to ground myself to scale. I can't figure out if it is a tsunami wiping out trees or a closeup of flotsam in small waves on a shore.

Image editing OK, encouraged, and expected. Thank you for helping me learn!

I personally really like this. I too at first thought it was a very distant shot of trees and but after further inspection realized it was a close up.
