This may be a stupid question but I can't find anything by searching the site.

I have a 60D that has wireless capability to fire my Metz flash. I bought a light stand thinking it would be nice to have. The only umbrella bracket I have seen locally doesn't allow the flash to be pivoted.

I was wondering if there is an umbrella bracket that would pivot so the main body of the flash can be rotated to face the camera enough to fire the remote flash without a sycn cord or additional wireless accessories. The IR sensor could face the camera and I could rotate the flash head towards the umbrella. I avoid additional costs and having to deal more gear associated with the sync cord or wireless transmitters. Is there a shoe adapter or a bracket that will swivel? I am not sure I have expained this very clearly. Thanks for any help!

Jim

Something like this should do to the trick:

Thanks Pacace. It looks like this would work.

That FlashZebra bracket is the one I use, and it should do fine for you. And it's reasonably priced, and has the umbrella shaft hole angled up at 15 degress as it should be. A very nice, low-cost bracket.

I think you can also get a basic 9-gel set from them without additional shipping.

Lon must have found a great distributor for these... B&H has GREAT pricing on a lot of things, but their model (Impact) is $4.00 more - looks IDENTICAL to me:
