Trying to tether my 5d and when i put it in PC comm mode, it isn't recognized on my machine. Win7 Home laptop.
I used an EOS Tool disc that came with a 60d

Mine doesn't get recognized by the system, either. If you can find a friend that has an older system and they allow you to download the EOS you might get it that way.

The disc that came with the camera is often out of date, I know my 5D2 in November 2011 came with out of date software which I updated at Canon Europe.
