I've been eyeing these two locations for a while. I finally figured out how I wanted to capture them- with a dusting of snow overnight and flat light from the lingering storm, I went out yesterday morning and shot for about an hour in the 11-degree cold. Simple is the name of the game.

Lovely. I think I like the landscape mode the best. Really, wall worthy. Great eye.

Fantastic Steve! #1 is destined to be an album cover. Seriously!

Funny that you guys like the landscape orientation better- when I went out to shoot, I only had vertical in my mind. I already made some 12x18" prints too, and those are matted and framed vertically (#1 and #4 in matching frames). I do like the horizontal as well though- maybe it's just that I don't have room on my walls for a vertical shot right now. :)

I've been trying to keep my landscape shots more simple and clean lately, and this is a step in the right direction I think.

Both ways, AWESOME. KUDOS to you.

Snow is wonderful in allowing subject isolation, and you accomplished it in style Steve.
I like #s 1, 2, and 3 a lot; #4 has a little too much headroom for me.
Very, very nice group of images.

Love no. 3 - think it conveys a better sense of the emptiness
