There is a member, Petkal, whose name is Peter. Well has been refered to as the King of L and many other names. He has/had like 18L lenses and like 23 lenses total. Now I havent heard anything out of him in quite a while and he lived in Canada. So jokingly I said that he had moved to the States infering that you were him as this seems as extravagant as his supposed set up.

Thanks to all who responded. Of course it all makes perfect sense if you look at my sig. BTW, as you all know, this site is the greatest. Now I think I will take all the gear, put in on the dresser, and take a picture of that using my new 10D.

Your welcome!

OH TF THIS GUY NEEDS A NEW TITLE!

Look at that blanket behind the boxes... Red Riding Ho. LMAO

LMAO as well . . . thats is pretty damn funny and totally unintended.

ben_r_ wrote in post #4899644 (external link)
LOL All that and he uses the lowest of all kit lenses to take the picture!

Well the other choice at the time was the 1DsMark II or the 1Ds. Neither one of those will take the kit lens. Besides I love the 300D. Its a plucky, unobtrusive, little classic with a solid finish! Well I guess I could have used the Lecia, or perhaps the cute little 'blad. Just kidding guys, just kidding. ;)

^MAybe he keeps everything in the boxes?

As a matter of fact . . . . .

sunbeast wrote in post #4899659 (external link)
1st thought.......your batteries cost more than my entire outfit

2nd thought.....perhaps you could use a human lens caddy..i'm up for the job! ;)

All of the lenses I have fitted into a giant Pelican case with handles, wheels and all that sort of stuff. Its heavy as hell but it floats!

I do have the 300 f/2.8 is. No 400 or 600. To damn heavy. I did consider them however but got the 300 and 500 and teleconverters to cover the range, easy compromise in my mind. Now that new 800 . . . . .

I don't know what happens when you get a complete set, or if such a thing is possible. There is always a new/old lens you don't have. For example, I am really interested in a Lecia M8 with a Noctilux 50 mm f/1.0. I would love to see if the Nocty is really that much better than the EF 50 mm f/1.0. I am really scared to start with the Lecia thing, now you want to talk about expensive . . . wow!

Had the 16-35...sold it for the 17-40...I prefer the 17-40:p
Actually IMO I'm missing two lenses, first on the list is the 100-400.... second,
as you mentioned is the 135L (that.......I sold, didn't use it like I thought I would....so it's more of a want:))
