boxes????

I put mine where all good boxes deserve to go, THE RUBBISH BIN.

Sorry , I dont keep my boxes, no reason to. Having box doesn't increase more in resale, hell, I wouldnt pay extra for a used item just because it came with its original box.

An old thread, but I have a thing for boxes! Acquired the 60D yesterday after my beloved XSi began to show its 5 year age!

It's because of the special bag these lenses are delivered with. That bag alone costs like a smaller lens.

Out of curiousity, where did you get your 400mm lens from? I'm surprised how pristine the box is. My 200-400 shipped in that brown box and arrived a bit beaten up. I'm surprised they didn't put the brown box in another box before shipping (as the printing on the box is kind of tempting).

Hmmm. My 200-400 box shipped from B&H inside another plain-jane discreet box.

I would have been nervous had it been any other way.

Don't know if it changes the resale value or not, but since I don't sell stuff, it doesn't matter. It seemed to me that it would be really stupid to pay a moving company to pack and ship a bunch of empty boxes down here, then have to find a place to store them. I tossed all that I had left before they started packing for the move.

I bought it in person from a fellow on this board a couple years ago. He bought it brand new in person from a well respected camera store up here. So the only shipping the box has seen is when it was shipped from Canon to the camera store.
