I love englishw's photo. It's great to see a 30D and D30 box together like that. It's a good reminder that Canon does some pretty goofy things from time to time, at least as far as product naming is concerned.

What came in the big plastic box with the word Can on it?

It has "Can" on the lid and "on" underneath on the base. I got a big red Canon sticker when I brought something wholesale.

Its actually my plastic carry case for all my contest prints mounted on 16"x20" grey matte.

Do you have them in North America?

Also in the pic is my open army footlocker; "steel locker, olive drab, personnel CES". Stacks a lot of stuff fit in it.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to get some of those, I can think of lots of occassions where they would be useful.

One thing can only be said when I finally saw Belmondo's Great wall of Canon:

FARK.

Those crows are very bad around here ;)

I have a few boxes, but most of them are packed away somewhere (can't remember where, moved too many times in the past 7 years, most probably at my parent's place). One day I'll gather what I have and take a shot and post ;)

Well, I'd be glad to send some over, at some very competitive rates - just a buck for 5 shiny 2 cent coins ;)

By his body size, I presume he can hit really hard ... :) ;)

Sorry for the late reply.

I have driven to New York with the expressed intent of arm wrestling him for rights to use that picture.

Expect a change to my avatar very soon.

Crud, Belmondo, I expected you to snag Pekka's "Enahanced" 1D Mark IX with the battery meter and "beer" button for your new avatar!

Well with the amount of large L glass in your collection you must have a fairly decent arm strength. The guy just messes with bikes so he's probably a bit of a wuss compared.

I think the post of the thread goes to Belmondo, explaining his non-chalant attitude to selling a lens (and losing a couple of tripods here 'n there)... "As with all mountains, erosion is a natural occurrence."

My humble stuff. I'd like to have a box for D30 too. And a proper tripod .
