Ok have come into some money ( not enough for the 100 USM or L) which would you choose, PURE MACRO?

Feb 13, 2012 17:07 | #4 If you can give up a little working distance the the Canon 60mm is a better choice than the Sigma or Tamron - IMO. If you can find/stretch to a Canon 100mm F2.8 (non IS) new or used it is an excellent lens, I use one and after trying the new 100 L I can see no reason to change. The L is nicer/smoother functioning and better built - but I could not find any worthwhile (or noticeable) difference in the IQ. Life is for living, cameras are to capture it (one day I will learn how!).
