A Loggerhead Shrike in a dead bush along the 4 mile road going to Moccasin Island west of Viera.

Excellent shots. I only got to photograph on over a year ago. Did you know that they catch their prey with their beaks then impale them on a torn bush to eat them. Beautiful birds.

I think Shrikes are one of the most handsome birds, and your captures of him are handsome too Ira.
It looks like he might be eyein' you in that second image.

Very nice, they are not common around here, I dont know about there. I had the luck of getting some shots a few weeks ago. They very interesting birds and they look very cool too.
