Nice work on the last few 2 pages. Nice to see your flies again Killer

Was driving in for hike last weekend and saw this family on the side of the road. I quietly stopped, rolled down my window and snapped off a few. The adult gave me that 'don't even think about it' look. After a bite to eat, they took off down the road....

Yeah, that's awesome jamganz.

Justin, great night shots.

Darksun, very nice work. I haven't spent that much time looking at a photo for a while. Very enjoyable and inspiring. I need to work on that kind of vision. It seems Gursky-inspired (external link), like this one (external link) in particular. Please keep posting -- and not just those that score as high as this one. Keep shooting and posting.

I had chance to play while he was at school :) Been using the new 7D & Nikon lately but still love the chance to use the 550 & try to get a few decent macros.
At the minuet I'm trying new styles of photography, I don't bother with flickr or post on any forums much these days ( nothing worth while posting ) you guys have moved on and improved way beyond my level but I love to view the awesome work everyone here posts up...........

Surely Killer is being modest.

I got a macro lens yesterday and thought I would do a killer style fly (you are one of my main inspirations) and only got a couple of blurred and oof shots. :(

Later found that the lens was somewhat defective and exchanged it for a good one (after very extensive tests with 4 people involved hehe). And only took the new one when they all agreed it was good.

Was planning on trying again tomorrow but weather has turned so not sure now

bobo, not modest just honest.
I hope your new lens provides you with some great macros, I say the lens because I know there will be no error on your part........
What lens did you decide on?

Need an opinion on this guys. Does it look too cooked? I kinda dig it. Shot this today. Hand held 8 shot stitch. Used a Color EFX 4 preset on it that I have rarely used. Not sure if I should attack this in another direction.

Like other said....the clouds really pops and great shot....Not at all overcook IMO.
Can you imagine if there is a rainbow? That is the only thing missing in this pretty picture.

Great set grumpy, Peter the fly is one of mine.
This one was taken with the 7D, I still prefer the 550 for macro ( may tell Jack I want it back ) Thanks for the comment :)
