Thanks Killer ---- waiting.

Btw, can you show me a pic of your setup?

Already have the other stuff that may (or may not) be needed. :)

Today I used the 7D, it turned out to be a wise decision because when we went in the jungle room the change in temperature was instant and the camera, lens, view finder the lot just misted up and to make things a little more difficult every now and again a fine spray like a sprinkler system would go off and this = one wet camera, it was over 30 minuets before the camera climatised, then I changed the lens and I could take my first shot :(
The rest of the day was outside, spent watching bird shows and looking around the animal enclosures, this was disappointing because of fencing and meshing preventing good shots.
I posted my macro setup a while ago, but I will take some pics and post over the weekend :)

I'm doing a swim team fundraiser with another photo dad. We are going to charge for a sitting fee up front, one price for a commodity outdoor swimsuit portrait (taken by the other dad), and another higher price for an action shot session. All the money goes to the team, and we will give away all of the images (digital).

Anyway, I need a promotional shot, so I took a couple today of my son to see what I could get. He's no Olympian when it comes to form, but I got a couple keepers. Hopefully these will give parents an idea of what they'll get (shot ISO 800 because it was completely overcast, and shooting between thunderstorms

Great work , i like the perspective and compo . The 2nd is my fav.

Had the most amazing photowalk a couple of hours ago , lasted for more than 2 hours and had more than 400 shots (i usually get between 50 and 150) . Again , decided to use the 85mm f/1.8 exclusively to focus on the details , colors or patterns .

That's the first shot :

Nice vision.

You folks amaze me with the artistic vision. I really only seem to be able to capture sports fairly well. I'm working on other stuff, but the sports stuff just comes more naturally to me, and I'm still just getting started in that arena.

Thanks for the inspiration everyone with the buildings, landscapes, bugs, and still folks.

^this thread is a great tool to picking up the various style and visions, and putting your own twist to it that best suits your style of work. I have gotten a great deal of insperation as well from this thread and many others

This is a very interesting and inspiring statement you make. I feel this is hard to achieve with such varying subjects, moods, and feelings I want to capture, but to say you see a style of my own starting to evolve, only means good things. :D

You have clearly had a personal style for some time now, probably one of the most consistent yet interesting one's I've seen in a while. es ever

Very exciting news. I myself on a good day only take 125 photos roughly max. So 400 can only bring you great results.

edited another from yesterday, this just might be one of my personal favorites to date...

I agree , the variety in this thread (and POTN generally) has helped me for the last 2 years to get new ideas , techniques and even perspectives .

Most of the time , i know your photos before seeing your name . The moods , styles and subjects can change , but the signature is still there . and thanks for the compliment :) .

btw ! i love that last shot , well processed

Bits and pieces (external link) by Michel-A. (external link), on Flickr

The cool thing about this series is that all the shots are (more or less) straight out of the camera (SOOC) , except for a slight crop (if any) and the signature . The rain series shots usually need a couple of textures to adjust the exposure , contrast and mood .

Did one last run through of the photos I took out in Arizona. Not sure how I missed them the first couple of times around.
