DigitalTuned All these thoughts give me nightmares More info | Jul 23, 2012 10:20 | #6725 What are these? I ask because my father has these same star imprinted circular shaped things in his fossil collection. I asked him what they were but forgot what he told me. I do remember one thing he said though. "I have a feeling that the sea will claim this land again" I didn't ask why because it was ovious that Puerto Rico was under water at one point. I did a reaseach and found out that about 185 million years ago Puerto Rico and all the island around it ( lower and mayor antilles ) we're born from a tactonic plate shift. I took a second and just looked around my dads place and also took a loong look at the view and I was just amazed and in disbelief. My father found these fossils up in the mountain where he lives along with other creatures captured and frozen in time like see shells, coral etc. I dare to say that my dads house is 200 ft above sea level and the top on the mountain being 250 feet above sea level. The base of the town sits just shy of 150ft above sea level. That's just a guess and it could be higher or lower but the fact is that the mountain is high. Pretty crazy I'll post a pic later of his fossils he finds around the mountain. Isaac

They are related to sea stars and other Echinoderms. Peter
