Thanks for the feedback , and today i'm gonna take the lazy road by saying "Great work , guys" , i've seen them all but i'm soaked and have a swollen knee :D and above all , today is officially the day i started to hate the 550d :D ! I've missed many great shots today because of the AF + ISO perf. , It's one the wettest day i've ever seen (rain , that is) and i was on the streets shooting for hours (with the optech cover on) , i got some decent shots , but missed as many ! grrr

Whoa. You really gotta stay on top of this thread. Two days go by and it takes me an hour to go through the photos. Great job guys.
I tried to comment on everyone's photo... some of y'all are in here twice. I'm sincerely sorry if I missed anyone...

<snip>
I've been meaning to try this. Did you use Manual mode?
</snip>

I set the camera in Av mode at f/2.8. Set white balance to daylight. I use back-button focusing. Focused on the mailbox and then snapped away in a rectangular pattern.

With practice I can see the potential for really cool shots. While it looks like I was far enough away from the mailbox to get the whole thing in, in reality all I saw through the viewfinder was the top part.

Very cool technique, but making sure all of the overlapping frames are shot takes practice.

I'm going to try again, when I get my t4i back from Canon (for the grip issue). :rolleyes:

And to add, the last few pages of shots are: bw!

Canon T6s (battery grip) | Canon T4i (aftermarket battery grip) | Canon T2i | Canon EF-S 18-55 IS | Canon EF-S 55 - 250 | Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 | Canon EF-S 10-22mm | Canon EF 100mm f2.8L Macro | Canon 40mm

All were taken with the vintage Takumar 50mm. The fly shot is approximately a 150-200% crop of the original.

love this one

Thanks DT! I really dig your images from our beloved Puerto Rico. Too bad politics are ruining this paradise, huh?

I've had my 550D for about 3 weeks now. I freaking love it!

1. Me playing with the 420EX that came with my DSLR. I'm a "warm" kind of guy :p
