... I got a mint Asahi Pentax Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens which is awesome, much better than the nifty fifty (which I also have). With these old lenses you need to focus manually but once you get the hang of it you will love it.

Where do you usually find these lenses though? And how do you know if its good or not before you buy it?
Do you just research what old lenses were good and keep a look out for them somewhere?
