Mike - great facial shot. Well done.
Thanks. Was tricky, first time shooting a face, plus it was a self portrait, so framing myself was pretty tricky.

Crazy colors. That's definitely a keeper. KILLERCLOWN wrote in post #14780818 The usual signature shot........ I love your fly photos. This brown themed one and the green-irridescent fly are really cool photos. I like the framing you choose, epecially compared to the usual macro photography examples in the macro thread. I don't know if I like your color work or your B&W work better. You seem to hop between the 2 extremes very easily. Brain Mechanic wrote in post #14787021 A few Ive been working with today. I experimented a little with a bronze tinted BW look as well as a desaturated finish to get a somewhat gritty feeling. Will post more from this same location later. I think the processing fits your intentions. I've always loved a Pontiac 4th gen with the WS6 package. Having said that I recently started experimenting with vintage lenses as some guys here can corroborate. I got a mint Asahi Pentax Takumar 50mm f/1.4 lens which is awesome, much better than the nifty fifty (which I also have). With these old lenses you need to focus manually but once you get the hang of it you will love it. Just two examples: Not only these lenses have superb build quality, they are also generally cheaper than modern counterparts. Welcome! DO EXPLAIN: Is there an adapter? I don't mind manually focusing but don't know anything about using older lenses on my T2i. Thank you.
