Random shots

This is heavily cropped with a lot of noise due to 1600 ISO to get the shutter to set at 1/2000. Not the best in IQ but the action I like alot.

A continuation of the Starlings that are constantly perching by the dozens around the grounds of where I work

Ridiculously cool pic, Grumpy....instafavorit​ed! Where have I seen a similar pic that was more close up...like 2 birds.. maybe it was yours also. This is like the perfect framing, scene, structure, birds, and color selections--I wonder how different this is from the original! I think I could easily see this on like a OBEY T-shirt or postcard or cover of a magazine

Thanks again for the recommendation on the font website. I ended up choosing one I liked the most after many hours of looking. Pretty sure I spent like 8 hours after midnight the night I was pulling an all-nighter to study -_- Can you give me feedback on the watermark? Should I make it smaller/less opaque... Does it look too curvy for a guy-photographer? -_-

some more pics of my wife while we were in Cabo...a weekend of paradise during a miserable summer packed with crazy stressful studying D: Especially since I was best man at this destination wedding which was packed with planned activities, we literally had about 30 minutes to have fun and take pics at the beach just the two of us Just one more day would have been divine..

perfect idea. If I were a recording artist, I'd want this on my as the front and back cover asap...! I can't seem to find your other pics of this series on flickr except for one other that was more of a black and white one. Do you have any others elsewhere?

As for my 2 beach pics, I'm looking at them right now and realizing I wish her skin color tone was less pasty and the sky was a warmer blue.. Yet, my pics look vibrant/saturated enough, if not too much... I know I spent at least 20 good seconds adjusting the levels in lightroom, and this must have looked most optimal to me......... So, is THIS why I should be shooting in RAW? I feel like my jump from 3.7MP to like 8MP was a big step for me...had to buy another external hdd. like 20MB per picture seems crazy excessive You guys are probably thinking I need to be trout-slapped right now--haha. My first step would be to get a bigger SD card I think, but I'm holding off for if I upgrade cameras in case it requires CF.. I've been using a 4GB sd card forever because someone never returned an 8GB a year ago...

One last question about these 3 pics... now that I have my first flash ever (420EX), would it have been appropriate in any of these 3 pics to use it somehow? I'm guessing the first one? I've got much to learn......

t2i is where the serious pros hide behind!!

Flash is a personal style thing. Certainly it could have been used off-camera in all of the photos for fill (kind of opposite of the sun's angle), but it's not necessary. Just experiment with it as you work on your style.

Regarding the lightroom touch-up, you can use the Adjustment Brush to select an area, then modify the exposure/color/etc. for just that selection.

may i ask what lens you use for most of your portraits?

and where do you get your models... holy cow! Love the BMW e46 M3 as well--hehe. Please tell me your photography paid for that as I drool with envy. Actually don't tell me...I have a huge exam for grad school coming up in 2 weeks...............wi​ll make or break me D: If I do well, I might get an e36 M3....but would almost prefer an e30 318is or 325is...

if photography paid for my m3, i wouldnt be in this thread.

photography is a hobby of mine. as for the girls. i dont know where they come from. they just randomly find me on fb.

thanks. I played around for like 5 minutes with brush, but it seemed to like burn a hole through my pictures. I had to adjust a lot of the sliders from exposure to contrast...opacity? not sure.....until it was somewhat usable. I still wanted an even lighter setting where I could control it more and need a couple different "coats" of adjustment.
