Looking up!

Not exactly sure what this guy (whitetail) was looking at.

I didn't think that deer were supposed to look up....thus the success of tree stands. Maybe he's been shot at before -
It's pretty clear in the last one though that he's lookin' at you Rob!

Looking up, or sticking his head up to listen better?

I think he may have just been whistling dixie

There is a lot of hunting pressure on these deer so there is no telling what they have seen in the past. I took the picture from my basement window and there is a bird feeder hanging from the deck so perhaps there was a squirrel or bird that got his attention. It does appear that he is looking at me in the last shot. However if he saw my ugly face he would still be running
