You should post six to ten here. Probably no one is going to go through all of those photos.

I looked at a few photos and these were my first impressions:

Photos aren't tight enough, I don't know what lens you were using but you need a longer lens and you need to crop more.

Shutter speed is too low for most of the shots causing excessive blurring.

This would be a great spot for strobes/flashes if possible, the recycle time on the field lights are causing dark areas in your photos. This is the downside of shooting ambient at night.

Photos should be straightened

If you can't use strobes/flashes, I would attempt to take multiple shots in attempt to get one or two that have correct lighting, then toss the rest that can't be recovered.

I would try shooting during the day first to get most of this down, then work on getting good night shots.

For what it's worth, it's generally considered inappropriate to use a flash for softball/baseball games (at least here in my area).

I don't know what camera you're shooting with but shoot at the ISO that gives you the correct (or even slightly over) exposure. A noisy correctly exposed photo is better (and easier to fix) then a high ISO underexposed photos. Not to mention it will let you increase your shutter speed.

As far as noise at high ISO, if you're going to be shooting a lot of nighttime games then you should get some high ISO noise reduction software and really learn how to use it (like Noiseware Pro or equivalent).

Something else you should look at (if you didn't) is to shoot in M mode. With nighttime photos with little light it can be tricky for the camera to give you the same exposure over and over again, if if the lighting is even on the field then you can set it once and forget about it. If it isn't even figure out the correct settings for the different parts of the field and adjust on the fly.

How did you get 1/250 - 1/500 with ambient light and only on ISO 1000? It looks like the shutter speeds were below 1/160 for most of the shots.

It depends on your camera, but you should be able to shoot at a much higher ISO then then. When I shoot indoors with my 7D I typically use ISO3200 - ISO5000.
