You're the only one who will be able to determine which is better for you. The only reason why Lightroom is so much more "favored" in a forum like this is because LR works with Windows as well as Macs!

I do hear Apple users who prefer Aperture, and others who prefer Lightroom. The reasons vary.

Best advice -- download the trials for each, try and compare.

But, part of that process should be to take time to learn about each with some depth!
