Yah, something around f8 sounds far preferable to 1.2. Except, in this case a smaller aperture usually results in a faster shutter speed.

Think I'm cranky - hubby announced V-day is a waste of time, etc...

Kind of insinuated that if I want flowers any other time of year that expecting gifts for Valentine's Day or wedding anniversaries is not acceptable. Wow... he needs so much more training? LOL

My camera gear is better than people (or anything else breathing) because it doesn't expect me to climb out of bed before dawn every day to be sure that it is fed, clean, clothed, picked up after and doesn't require that I spend several hundred dollars per month on its care (or its video games, depending on which case). If I spend more money on camera gear usually it has an added benefit.

If I spend money on anything else it's to keep it alive so it can keep bothering me.
