Offensive in a number of ways. :D Some arrogant arsehole with Photoshop comes along and not only completely butchers a bunch of classic paintings and the masterful understanding of anatomy displayed in them, but takes a piss on women while he's at it, too. The women aren't at all fat to begin with, and look more anatomically ridiculous than Barbie by the time he's done with them...

The artist is a she (Anna Utopia Giordano) and she did this to point out the changing standards of beauty over time. If you believe the results are stupid or offensive, consider that this is the same vision of the female form promoted by today's fashion industry.

A segment Dr. Oz within the past year showed about 6" range of deviation in waist sizes of women's trousers, all claiming to be the same numerical size! That is equally stupid and offensive.

Brilliant! She's almost as brilliant as Ken Rockwell. She managed to get herself in newspapers, probably on news sites, and in addition, has managed to get you all talking about her in forums and blogs everywhere - all promoting her for free. Brilliant campaign!
