After shooting about 6,000 of mostly sports/action pics since getting my 60D a few months back, I decided it was time for a battery grip. A Canon grip would have been ideal, but they were pretty expensive for what they were. Reviews for the Meike grip were overall very favorable, and at about $35 I figured it was worth the small investment.

I unboxed it and was surprised to see it come well-packed and in a very professional-looking box. Some of the Amazon reviews said that orders from this particular vendor sometimes came in off packaging. Not this one, and absent was the harsh smell of rubber/plastic some reviews complained about.

I tried out all the buttons, and all are very responsive with good fit and finish. Trying the grip out tomorrow at a LAX game, so it will be battle tested there. For now, though, it appears to be as good as advertised (knock on wood).

Good to know. I'm also in the market for a 60D grip and trying to decide between the Zeikos and lower priced ones.
