I like to think of the Carolina Wrens around my area as "Court Jesters". They're always flitting to and fro and sounding off wherever they land. I hope you enjoy the mix of classic poses and habitat images I have to present.

Classic poses first.....

Beautiful series, Steve. You got some excellent clarity with a relatively slow shutter speeds! I see you're working with your full set of lenses too! ;)

The portraits of this plucky little wren are excellent Steve, but the last 4 through 8 habitat shots are my favorite... great captures.

You're asking for critique Steve, OK, I can't fault them, they're right on the money, very good series.

Wow, they look so much like my little Eurasian Wren. Yours are just a fair bit larger, with longer tails etc., but they're definitely closely related. All I got were some half decent habitat shots. Yours are much better and you even managed some wonderful clear shots. The first of those three clear shots is really beautiful, but I love the other two also. What am I saying? I think this whole set is great! :) Great work, Steve.

Thanks for the compliment Gary. I'm sure a Carolina Wren in your area is stirring up quite the fuss - :)

I appreciate that Ian; and yes, I'm an equal opportunity lens abuser.....or user.

Thank you Levina, you always have such kind words to encourage me. Wrens from anywhere are just neat, and your Eurasian is cute as a button too.
