I wouldn't recommend the 420ex, and the 380ex has even less features. If you're looking at buying, I'd look for 430, 550, or 580ex's (mark II models will be more expensive, but better). gordon

For the record, I've also got a 420EX which is also still a perfectly usable flash, and it does include the wireless functionality the 380EX lacks. While I generally prefer my 430EXii to either of these, they both serve their purpose well and represent excellent values used.
