241st has a single platform and two tracks only. 180th is half on the ground and half in the air, and that barbed-wire fence on the left would suggest being on the ground, and I think I can see the train yard through the fence. Back in the '70s when I was waiting for a northbound train at 180th, I saw a dog walk onto the tracks at the ground end, and walk down the tracks onto the elevated section. I and others tried to scare the dog back to the ground level end of the station, but it ignored us, and met a train that came around the sharp curve from the south and could not stop in time to avoid hitting it and rolling it under the train.

I just picked those three as they are the only elevated thru express stops. Its been 48 years since I road that line but I really feel dumb as far as 241ST as thats where
I lived one block down from WPR. After reading your post had to stop and think no center track the steps were in the center of the platform. In the 1940's the 3rd Ave El
came all the way up to 241St you could get to city fresh air all the way.

Then we were probably neighbors but in different times. I lived on Matilda Ave just north of 241st from 1980 to 1992.

I only remember the last section of the El that went from White Plains Rd & Gunhill Rd to 149th St. Rode it once, just before it was retired in 1973. I remember a really noisy turn from Gunhill Rd onto Webster Ave that was the loudest, ugliest thing my 13-year-old ears ever heard.

Top of the Rock, Rockefeller Center.
Brooklyn Bridge Park, Dumbo, Brooklyn.
Exchange Place Waterfront, Jersey City, NJ.
Top of the Empire State Building.
Lower Manhattan.
Flatiron Building.
Chinatown.
