I took these photos for a friend who is a journalist and needed new headshots for her articles. I don't typically shoot portraits so C&C is very welcome:

i really like the lighting. overall really good portrait, but maybe a bit more skin cleanup wouldn't hurt? Just smooth it all out a bit, work on the bags under her eyes.

I agree. She's a pretty girl.....you could soften under her eyes a little and have a much more pleasing shot.

I will try to work on the bags under her eyes and repost. I normally tend to over do processing of skin so I kind of left these alone to keep them as natural as possible.

i thnk they look great. i just started doing portraits and have been having difficulties, those look great though.


Always do right, this will gratify some people and astonish the rest.
