the lighting wasnt really all that great at all, and the stage was a little cluttered with the wires and tape and what not. but I made do with what I had. The only editing I did was darkening the floor, the rest was already black.

Very nice photo. I would suggest to make her face a little bit lighter in order to increase the contrast between the face and the hair.

I could not resist. I tried a color balance using the Canon Digital Photo Professional and clicking on the bright spot by her right leg (it looks as a cable) and then some clearing on face and hands.

i agree. maybe use the lasso tool around the face and apply shadow highlight adjustment to your taste. I had to do this for a shot i took of an actor in a theatrical production and it seemed to help. maybe somebody else could post a better method

Hi cxt9597
Your sister is a beautiful girl and you shot a very nice picture. I like the warm colors of your original post.
As a former television engineer, I am near obsessed about the cables running through the stage.
I hope you do not mind that I tested my skills in Photoshop removing the cables and the big masking tape mark from the floor.
Preserving the texture of the transparent cloth was a real challenge.

Hope you don't mind but here's my version with just a bit of Shadow Highlight adjustment, and some USM. As Rpolitser mentioned, you might want to clone out the cables and then i think you have a shot worthy of framing and giving to your parents as a gift:)
