Tamron SP AF70-300mm![]()
Is there a different zoom lens in the same price range I should be looking at? Or another reputable site that has it cheaper?

SMP_Homer Cream of the Crop More info | Feb 16, 2012 08:12 | #2 it's a well received lens, and definitely a great price for what you get EOS R6’ / 1D X / 1D IV (and the wife has a T4i)

T2i, EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 DG, Super MC Takumar 35mm f/3.5, Super Takumar 55mm, f/1.8, Soligar 135mm F/2.8

Feb 16, 2012 10:54 | #5 Just yesterday ordered the same lens from ePhotoCraft. Would come to $338 after rebate. They are currently out of stock - seems like I've ordered one of their last ones - but I'd call them & see if they still give you that price & let you order it when they get them in. I haven't received mine yet, but Photo Craft had decent reviews and during my two phone calls they were very helpful & professional. Ex-Canon shooter. Now Sony Nex.

NoelJohnson Senior Member More info | Feb 16, 2012 15:28 | #11 I've had one for about a month, absolutely love it. I ummed and ahhed about the Canon as well but went for the Tamron as it was a newer design, had a 4 stop stabiliser and was a better price. Team Bunny. Depth before dishonour.

I really do not know why it is notconsidered more for non sports use. For my purposes it is a fantastic lens; sharp, sharp with great isolation and bokeh. 6D, 5D, 7Dii, Eos R and too many lenses, flashes and aux. gear to list!
