So Derf, is this essentially just parking the planes out and around your museum or is there actually special attention given to lighting? I've never seen anything like this before but it's certainly an interesting idea. Congrats on the 5th year btw.

This is done during airshow and the parking is just where the aircraft are parked for airshow.... A few times I wanted to do something special like put the F-105 in front of the hangar in the above shot as this hangar is where the finishing for Republic was and it rolled out of that hangar for test flights.. I also asked for a few others Like the picture below requested by the Warrior Demo team.

We have limited space on the ramp and usually do not see the T-Birds or Blue Angels on this side of the airport. The ramp is always filled with everything else tho! there are aircraft down the entire side of the AAM (Building in the rear of the picture below) and the F-105 shot was on the far side of the hangar.

The lighting sucks as in just about every airport. I am now having fun using my flashes to overpower it and Kill the backround.

Here is a zoom shot so you can see how much action there is by the sie of the AAM and there is much more to the right as well.

So this is an annual thing? Do the photogs just bring their own lighting setups and photograph the aircraft as they please? I might have to get some practice in over the next year

VERY NICE: Very good idea; and GREAT photos. A good example of what can be done to raise awareness.

A skill is developed through constant practice with a passion to improve, not bought.
