I need a pair of light stands... they will be supporting flash lighting with modifiers. I plan on using a softlighter II, 46" most often as my key light... I have smaller shoot-throughs that I may use for fill.

The bottom line is I need something serviceable with a workable height for small groups. What am I looking at spending? I'd like to save as much coin as possible for other lighting bits.

I've used the crap out of my Impact stands, they are good stands for the money.

thanks for the advice guys. I think I am going for some cheap 12 dollar ravelli stands for the time being (just using speedlites), but will buy one of those when I purchase my first monolight soon.
