Spring is here - Baseball is back

First game of the season. Didn't get anything too spectacular but then baseball can be a tough assignment sometimes. All with 1D Mark III and 100-400. C&C is welcome.

Nice work! There is true in place of dirt around home plate and bases?? Never seen that before.

Thanks. Yeah, they had it done in the offseason. It was done by the same people who did the turf in the new Cowboys Stadium, Hellas Construction. The pitchers mound is still dirt.

These are nice. You can really see the "oomph" the pitcher is putting into that pitch. Strange to see turf instead of dirt like that. Sliding into the bases must really suck I would think. Also, how's the batter supposed to make the back lime line disappear in the batter's box so he can step back a little further and get a little edge over the pitcher's fastball?

Thanks. It's just like when they slide or whatever in football, the little black rubber pellets fly up. The players seem to like it.
