Aside from the unit being more prone to overheating during a shoot, what are the disadvantages to running a speedlite at 1/1 power?

rudy_216 Senior Member 299 posts Joined Oct 2008 More info | Feb 17, 2012 21:14 | #3 Longer duration of the light. A full power discharge take a lot longer than half power. So if you are trying to avoid motion blur then don't go higher than half power.
