I printed up some baseball cards for a local now defunct minor league team. I printed double sided. Used a wide format printer as it was really the only thing that could handle the weight of the paper. I used the Entrada fine art paper from Moab paper. 300 GSM. Hand cut each piece. It was very time consuming and there are plenty of places online that will print you cards with gloss. These of course were a matte finish like older cards were. No wax finish, etc.

Here are some examples:

These are of course a lower res version, but I was able to print as I needed and make changes if i wanted down the line.

We designed them in photoshop, and uploaded them to my Smugmug account. So, they parents ordered them, and it was the paper that Smugmug uses, which is good quality. The parents loved them. (on an 8 X 10 sheet)

I believe their R.O.E.S. price for 12 Trading Cards is under $5, and they have many different designs to choose from. They are double sided, and are printed on heavy card stock on a half million dollar printer. Great quality, great people to do business with.
