Edit: Just thought of something, these are all competition vehicles..... I guess I should have posted these in motorsport section? If so could a mod please send it on to wherever it fits best?

I went up a few months ago so dropped in and took a look around, neat museum for those who can visit it.

I borrowed a mates tokina 11-16 for these and first time using my flash. I know I blew some highlights in some of them, but you live, you learn!

They can stay here. They are all competition vehicles, but aren't in competition. Good set.

you're not wrong there... lots of 05 followers this side of the ditch too. Is that a Walkinshaw XJS in last shot? (I have a soft-spot for XU-1's too)

respectfully asking for more...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

I have to be honest, I have some more, but not a lot. I was there for a wedding, this was the next day......I really had to get home and sleep some more! I did miss a lot of the cars unfortunately. The wife was patient......for a while.... I still have more to process so I'll see what I have that I didn't do originally.

The moto? as in NSR-500? It was an absolute animal of a bike, they all were in that era.

Hey sgt: I know that username from the Aussie Ford forums, small world!

I did do a lap, as I always do when I'm up there but as I stayed at the motel at the bottom of the straight, I could not believe the amount of turnips driving like absolute dicks. One guy in a falcon comes out of the chase on the wrong side of the road, it's a blind run out of the right hander before you go under the bridge, and this guy is hugging the kerb! no more than 10 seconds after he goes past a family in a corolla comes up the other way. So close to a head on. Not that I have, but after seeing that, I have decided to NEVER go backwards around there! Little did he know I snapped a shot of him mid corner ;)

All morning guys were hooning around. The wedding we attended was at the top of mountain straight, right on the right hander, and on sat afternoon the cops set up a radar at the entrance to the vineyard......they cleaned up bigtime.

I drive an XR6T so it was very hard to be "good" on my lap around there, but I was :D

Cheers photosguy, wasn't sure so thought I'd ask.

couple more.

I haven't seen a senna for so long! I got my position wrong here, it was very tight between bikes, I was hard up against the bike behind me. But as you can see it looks a bit squished. Maybe lower next time? What say you auto photography guys?

Another classic Ducati, and this time a better angle. A genuine Factory 851/888 from the aussie superbike series.

Yeah mate, I'm on AFF :)

I agree about the clowns that drive around, I honestly don't know why it is a two way road.. so damned dangerous..

I have to admit when I sold my XR8 I cut a few happy laps around, only gunned it at the top of the mountain though, too risky down conrod etc.

I agree it makes sense to make it one way, but then again if you lived half way up conrod you' be very annoyed at having to do a whole lap after a while.

oh, just so you know that last pic was done at 60Km/hr at 1/30th. My wife took that shot though, so credit goes to her

Nice series Paul
My one nit pick is with the museums and how they always put roping as close as possible to the displays:( A little distance would add so much to photos. You did well to minimalise the ropes :)
You should head to Adelaide for the Clipsal next month.
Alan Jones will be driving his F1 GP championship winning car from 1980

The ropes were a pain! but my wife was kind enough to hold them for shots like the green monster. I'm going to the F1 so won't be able to make it to the clipsal.

yeah right...

As good as it sounds, if you lived there for 5 years it would start to be a real pain I reckon
