Went to the local basin but there was nothing unusual, just got the locals in their day to day routine. Ran into (No Angle) on my way out.

1. Western grebe on the DL.

2. Green Heron.

3. The American Kestrel. (1000mm)

4. Song Sparrow.

hey man, glad to see you post in here. The shots look great. That Kestrel is fantastic. That is not the same one we saw is it? The DOF on the Grebe and Green Heron is really nice. Did those shots of the Cormorant eating the fish come well?

Nice to meet you as well. Yes that was the same Kestrel but I shot it earlier in the AM near woodley. Yeah the Cormorant shots did turn out i just need to process them.

Nope just lay down on your stomach and shoot. the ground and the water level are maybe 1ft-2ft in difference, no need to wade, just need to get down and shoot, plus the bird was 30-50ft away giving me some room also the f56 f stop helped as well even f8 turns out like that.

They may be ordinary birds but the photography is not. The Green Heron reaches out to me.

This is a nice set, Sevan, and I mean really nice, but that Grebe is just gorgeous. The low angle with the shallow DOF is terrific.
