1DMK2N top LCD exposure level not showing

Seems I've lost the exposure level info on the top LCD of my 1DMK2N .. I still have it in the viewfinder but not on the top LCD. I've checked the user guide and it seems there is no way to turn it on or off ?

EDIT .. just tried it in "A" mode and it's there, so I'm guessing that it's not there only in "M"?
