So I am looking for someone who knows the central/eastern Washington area that can recommend good landscape photo opportunities. I have already been to most places around town and am looking for more opportunities. I am getting bored around here and wish I could take more pictures. Every time I go out driving, I see the same old stuff every time. :( I guess that's what happens when you live in a small town.

Head up to the Colockum Elk Winter range.. there is some great scenery and you might see some nice bull elk as well.. Also, head up 97 towards Wenatchee. Blewitt Pass offers some nice scenery pics as well.

Okay awesome! Thank you for the info! I will have to venture over Blewitt sometime soon.

Goes to show you, I should have searched this forum better. We went over to the Ellensburg area yasterday for a drive and hoping for some photo ops. Ended up going down the Yakima Canyon, then came back up Wenas and went up to the top of Manastash Ridge (didn't go all the way to the observatory, the road was "marginal"). Beautiful areas but couldn't quite find "the place" Lighting and time of day didn't help.
